Jason Kowitz, MD, is proud to be part of the expert team at Pacific Northwest Urology Specialists in Bellingham, Washington. He brings to the practice a strong foundation of academic excellence, advanced surgical training, and a deeply patient-centered approach to care.
Dr. Kowitz earned his medical degree from the University of Washington and completed his residency at the prestigious Harvard Urologic Surgery Residency Program at Massachusetts General Hospital. He then pursued fellowship training in robotic urologic oncology under nationally renowned surgeon Dr. James Porter at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, where he gained extensive experience in retroperitoneal surgery and complex minimally invasive procedures.
Dr. Kowitz enjoys treating the full spectrum of adult urologic conditions, and he brings particular expertise in the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of prostate cancer, kidney cancer, urinary obstruction, and complex kidney stones. He is highly experienced in using the advanced da Vinci® Surgical System and remains committed to staying at the forefront of surgical innovation. He relies on a foundation of evidence-based practice, and his research in prostate and kidney cancer has been published in peer-reviewed journals.
